Keith Richards joined Rees Richards & Partners is the 1950’s. He followed in the footsteps of his father Eddie Richards, from whom the firm takes part of its name. Throughout the wholesale changes that have taken place in the commercial property market since taking up his post, he has ensured that Rees Richards continues to innovate and provide their clients with services that will meet their business and property needs.

Ian Howell studied Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. After spending two years with Savills at their Norwich office in East Anglia, specialising in farm management, he joined Rees Richards & Partners in 1987. He became a partner in 1991. A Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, he is past president of the CAAV South Wales branch and Immediate Past Chairman of the CAAV Wales Group.
Matthew Lloyd MRICS MNAEA

Matthew graduated from the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester, and has experience working within the professional rural sector throughout South and West Wales since 1995. Matthew joined Rees Richards & Partners in 2001, and was appointed equity partner in 2009. He is a Chartered Surveyor, and RICS Registered Valuer. Matthew specialises in compensation negotiations with private and corporate clients, and is responsible for the professional services contracts on behalf of national corporate clients. He is the firm’s Quality Manager & Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Dylan Williams MRICS MNAEA

Dylan, a farmer’s son, joined Rees Richards and Partners as an assistant surveyor in 2003 having graduated from The University of Wales Aberystwyth. Initially working within the Professional Services Department, he obtained Chartered status in 2006 having studied Real Estate at Reading University. He became partner in 2009 and heads the Valuation and Agency department, undertaking commercial, residential and agricultural property valuations on behalf of some of the U.K’s leading lenders together with provision of consultancy in the acquisition, letting and disposal of property throughout the U.K. whilst also acting as an Expert Witness in dispute resolution cases on behalf of the courts. He is a RICS Registered Valuer.
Stuart Phillips

Stuart Phillips joined Rees Richards & Partners in 1960 initially involved with urban and rural estate management, later dealing with residential valuations and sales as a member of the National Association of Estate Agents. He became a Partner in 1983 managing all aspects of the partnerships urban estate management specialising in new development and leasehold reform. Since retiring as Partner 2003 he has remained as Consultant still active particularly in relation to urban estates and Leasehold Reform.

Martyn Jenkins trained as an auctioneer and valuer with a leading west Wales firm of agricultural valuers, later becoming a partner. After 30 years with that firm, he joined Rees Richards & Partners as a partner in 1997. He is a fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.

Christine grew up on the family dairy farm in Carmarthenshire and graduated from the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester in 2012 with a First Class Honours degree in Rural Land Management. Christine qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in October 2014 and passed her Agricultural Valuers exams to become a Fellow of the CAAV in November 2014. Christine is also a Registered Valuer with the RICS. Having worked in Oxford for 4 years, Christine joined Rees Richards & Partners in January 2017 and undertakes a range of professional work including Valuation, Property Sales, Estate Management, Agricultural Landlord & Tenant matters and claim negotiations with utility companies and statutory undertakers on behalf of private clients.

Rhys joined Rees Richards & Partners in August 2007 having since worked on the family beef & sheep farm in Caio, Mid Carmarthenshire. He has a degree in Agriculture from the University of Wales Aberystwyth and obtained Chartered status with the RICS in 2013, he is also an RICS Registered Valuer. Rhys’ work includes working on the professional services contracts, as well as undertaking a range of other professional instructions such as Valuation, Compulsory Purchase & Compensation, Property Sales, Agricultural Landlord & Tenant matters and claim negotiations on behalf of private clients.

Rhys, a fluent Welsh speaker and from a farming background attended Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin in Carmarthen and later graduated from The Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester with a degree in Rural Land Management in 2018. Rhys joined Rees Richards & Partners in Autumn 2018 as an Assistant Surveyor and gained his chartered status in June 2022, and is a RICS Registered Valuer. Rhys assists in a wide range of professional work including RICS Red Book Valuations, Probate Valuations, Sales of Agricultural and Country Properties, Small Holdings and Residential Properties, Estate Management and Landlord and Tenant matters. Rhys is also a Professional Member of the National Association of Estate Agents (MNAEA).

Courtney joined Rees Richards in August 2024 as an assistant surveyor having recently graduated from Harper Adams University, Shropshire with a honours degree in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. She will assist our Professional Services and Estate Management team based in our Carmarthen office and is currently working towards obtaining her qualifications and becoming a RICS chartered surveyor.

Abi joined Rees Richards in October 2023, providing valuable support to the firms agency and valuation departments, in her a role as an assistant surveyor. She is currently working towards achieving her Propertymark qualifications and will commence a degree apprenticeship in Real Estate at the University of south Wales in October 2024. Abi enjoys horse riding and has ridden competitively for many years.

Elan, a Welsh speaking dairy farmer’s daughter from Carmarthenshire, joined Rees Richards in June 2024, to assist our Professional Services and Estate Management team. She is currently working towards obtaining her qualifications and becoming a RICS chartered surveyor.

Adina joined Rees Richards in April 2024 as assistant surveyor after working as architect and property and business valuer since 2005 in Bucharest and graduated “Ion Mincu” Architecture Institute in Bucharest in 1999. Adina is also a Domestic Energy Assessor registered with Elmhurst and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and assists in a wide range of professional work including valuations, building condition and survey, project management, residential retrofit.

Tom, a fluent Welsh speaker, joined the firm in October 2024 having gained a degree in Sports analysis and Performance. Having grown up on a beef and sheep farm on the outskirts of Llandeilo, Tom retains a strong interest and knowledge of rural affairs, assisting when he can with daily duties on the family farm. In his spare time, Tom plays rugby for Brecon RFC.

Luke Lawrence joined Rees Richards & Partners in 2019. Having worked in the Pembrokeshire Property Market since 1994, Luke now heads the residential sales division of the practice throughout West Wales. Since Graduating from U.W.I.C. He has successfully negotiated a large number of property sales on behalf of private clients. An active property developer and investor, Luke has a great deal of knowledge and experience in the real estate sector across West Wales.

Gayle joined Rees Richards & Partners in 2017 as Office Manager after 13 years as Practice Manager in a prominent accountancy firm in Swansea. Gayle’s role as Office Manager is very diverse and supports the effective running of this professional practice. Since joining us Gayle has completed levels 3 & 4 with the Institute of Leadership & Management, Level 4 with the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management and Level 5 with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
Tracy Bevan

Tracy is a longstanding member of staff who joined the firm as a trainee administration assistant in 1993 initially based in our accounts department. During her employment Tracy has gained vast knowledge of the firm as a whole earning the nickname “The Oracle”, has had experience in working in each department and is now primarily secretary to the Senior Partner who specialises in Estate Management. Tracy also assists in the day to day management of a client portfolio of private rented properties dealing with tenants, contractors, statutory requirements, etc. and is registered with Rent Smart Wales.

Jane has over 30 years’ experience in rental accounts and administrative support, and joined Rees Richards & Partners in 2016 as an Accounts Assistant. Jane carries a wealth of experience in property administration.

Summer joined Rees Richards & Partners in October 2024 and is doing a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business Administration. Summer provides administrative support to all departments in the firm.
